Pick Up / Drop Off Times:
Monday-Friday daycare is open 6:00 am to 7:00 pm Doors are locked between 10am and 3pm. Between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm we do NOT allow daycare dogs to be dropped off. Dropping dogs off between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm disrupts the focus of group learning sessions. Saturday Daycare is open from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Doors may be locked throughout the day. If doors are locked, please TEXT or use the RING located at the front of the Main Bldg. Reservations: Effective January 01, 2024 reservations are now required for Daycare. Reservations can be made in advance through our Customer Portal or via text messaging. Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance in order to avoid daycare charges. Taking Reservations will allow us to ability to set up well-balanced, safe & happy play groups in advance. Customer Portal: The Customer Portal (provided through Gingr) can be utilized to Register your pet, add additional pets, upload / update vaccination records, view Report Cards, view Invoices, Update Contact Information, Make Reservations, Update Reservations, Make Grooming Appointments and more. Access Code 966849 Daycare Meet and Greet (Evaluation): A meet and greet for daycare dogs is an opportunity for dogs and their owners to familiarize themselves with our daycare facility and staff. During this session, we aim to create a positive and comfortable environment for both dogs and their owners. Our trained staff will introduce themselves to the dogs and engage in friendly interactions to help build trust and rapport. The meet and greet session allows us to assess the temperament and behavior of each dog, ensuring that they will have a safe and enjoyable experience in our daycare. We will ask owners about their dog's preferences, routines, and any specific needs to provide personalized care. Additionally, we will provide a tour of our daycare facility, showcasing the play areas, rest zones, and other amenities available for the dogs. This will give owners a chance to see the cleanliness and safety measures we have in place. Overall, our meet and greet for daycare dogs is designed to create a smooth transition into our daycare program, ensuring that both dogs and owners feel comfortable and confident in our services. Reservations are required. Proper vaccine records are required prior to Meet and Greet. All Puppies/Dogs over 6 months old must be spayed/neutered. Puppies under 6 months old do not require a Meet and Greet. Approved dogs must attend daycare a minimum of 4 times per month otherwise a new Meet and Greet/ Evaluation may be required (fees apply). Vaccination Requirements: Rabies Vaccination DHLPP/DAPP Vaccine (Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus) AKA; 5-Way Bordetella Vaccinations (Canine/Kennel Cough) **All vaccines should be administered 2 weeks prior to arrival at facility. **Puppies under the age of one year old are required to have documentation of all 3 rounds of DAPP Vaccines. Influenza (Highly Recommended but not required at this time. Consult with your vet.) Vaccination records must include dogs name as well as veterinarians name. For vaccines administered by Rescue Group/shelter, tags from vaccines and dates administered must be presented and we will request owner to sign a waiver. Port Rover will also accept results from titer tests completed by your vet within the last 3 months. Spay and Neuter Policy: All dogs over the age of 6 months wishing to participate in Group Play must, be spayed or neutered. Females in heat will not be allowed under any circumstances. This is strictly for the safety of all guests. Spay and Neuter is NOT required for dogs that are staying for overnight boarding, grooming dogs or dogs in training. Unacceptable Behavior: If at any time your dog displays or develops unacceptable behavior such as, but not limited to; fighting with other dogs, bullying, resource guarding, excessive barking, excessive humping, destructive behavior or aggression towards our staff, he/she may be immediately dismissed from daycare. We will keep parents informed of all incidents big or small. If we notice dogs are starting to develop bad behaviors we will have our in-house trainers re-evaluate your dog and possibly recommend training and/or dismissal from daycare. Food/Treats: Please feed your dog(s) at least 1 hour prior to arrival for daycare. This ensures they properly digest their breakfast and are ready to play. If you are unable to please let the staff know so we can allow for proper rest prior to play. We accept lunches for dogs 1 year or under. Lunches are administered between 11:00 am and 12:30 pm daily. Please bring lunch in a single use sandwich baggie. Treats are given to dogs throughout the day to encourage good behavior as well as during special events. If your dog has any food allergies please inform the staff ahead of time. Late Pick Up Fees: Daycare All daycare dogs must be picked up by 7:00 pm Monday-Friday and by 4:00 pm on Saturday. Please notify us via phone call or text if you are running late. We allow a 10 minute grace period before we charge a $20 late fee. If we do not hear from you or if you are more than 10 minutes late, your dog will be checked into boarding and provided house food for dinner. Original Daycare Charges, Overnight Boarding and Food charges will apply. Daycare Packages: Daycare Package days do NOT have to be used consecutively. Daycare Packages CAN be transferred OR shared with other dogs within the same household. Daycare Packages are pre-pay only and non-refundable. Saturdays are always considered half days due to reduced hours (subject to change). Customer Care: Our number one priority is to provide a safe, happy and healthy environment for your dog(s). We expect our staff to be kind and courteous to each customer. In return, we request that customers treat our staff with kindness and understanding. Foul language, screaming or derogatory comments will not be tolerated and you will be asked to not return. If for whatever reason you are not satisfied and a staff member is not able to address your concerns, please make sure to reach out to a manager as soon as possible. We do our best to provide updates, send pictures via text, post pictures on social media and provide feedback concerning your pet as often as we can. We ask that customers keep in mind that we care for many, many dogs throughout the day and we may not be able to provide updates for everyone, every day but this does not mean your dog is not be cared for properly. Dirty Dogs: Throughout the day, your dog may participate in a variety of activities including Pool time, small group play, large group play and special events. Although we do our best to keep them clean, at times it is unavoidable due to grass, dirt, mulch, and other natural elements. We offer low cost Exit Baths upon request.
