Canine Virus's, Contagious Diseases and Canine Bloat:
Port Rover, LLC owner and staff will work hard to ensure your pet is kept safe and healthy during their stay. Kennels and Play areas are cleaned and sanitized throughout each day/night to help prevent the spread of viruses and illnesses such as (but not limited to) Canine Cough (Bordetella), Parvovirus, Canine Flu and Distemper. Although the Bordetella vaccine helps prevent Canine Cough, it does not guarantee immunity. If your pet shows signs of Canine Cough, Parasites (worms, fleas, ticks, etc.) or other contagious illness’, Port Rover, LLC will contact owner(s) and request immediate pickup. Pet will be held in isolation until owner(s) arrives. To help prevent Canine Bloat, after each meal your dog will receive crate rest for a minimum of one hour prior to engaging in playtime. If your pet(s) has consumed food within an hour prior to arrival, please let our staff know so that he/she can receive appropriate rest prior to playtime. Required rest time does not guarantee your dog will not get Canine Bloat. Please consult your veterinarian for additional information related to contagious diseases, viruses and illness or any other concerns you may have prior to your pet’s arrival at Port Rover.
