GROOMING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Upon registration, customer will be asked to agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

We hold the highest standards to ensure that your pet is handled with proper care and compassion during their visit. We value that you have entrusted in us to provide our services to them.
Please read each paragraph below.
Flea and Ticks:
I formally grant Port Rover, LLC (known as Port Rover) Groomers, bathers, and associates’ permission to give my pet(s) a Flea and Tick bath upon request or if fleas/ticks are found on my pet(s). I understand additional fees will accrue for these services. By signing below, I understand that flea/tick treatment does not end with a flea/tick bath and further preventative measures must be taken at home. We recommend discussing Flea Preventative options with your veterinarian.
Clipping, Shaving and Dematting:
The process of clipping or shaving down pet(s) may be required due to, severity of matting, uncooperative pet behaviors, aggressive behaviors, or pets’ hypersensitivity. Upon initial assessment of my pet, it will be determined by Port Rover if dematting or clipping/ shaving my pet’s fur will be required. I understand that there are additional fees for dematting or clipping/ shaving pets due to the additional time and expertise that is required. In the event that clipping of my pet’s fur rather than dematting is required, I understand that there is a greater risk of unavoidable skin irritation, burns, cuts, knicks and scrapes to my pet(s). Port Rover groomers, bathers, or associates will not perform any procedures that will cause unnecessary pain or discomfort to a pet regardless of owner’s request. By signing below, I grant permission for my pet to be groomed in a manner that is in the best interest of the health, safety and well-being of my pet.
Anal Glands and Ear Plucking:
I understand that expressing my pet(s) glands or plucking hair from their ears may cause inflammation, irritation, or other medical issues. I formally grant groomers, bathers or associates with Port Rover permission to either complete gland expressions and/or pluck my pet’s ears upon request.
Double Coated Pets:
Port Rover does NOT recommend shaving double coated pets. I understand that if I request for my double coated pet to be shaved down, Port Rover will not be held responsible for the negative effects this will have on my pet’s coat, skin, overall health, etc.
Aggressive Pets:
Accepting aggressive or difficult to handle dogs is determined on a case-by-case basis. If a pet must leave the facility due to aggressive behaviors, I understand payment for completed and/or intended services is still due at pickup.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance of appointment time.
Cancellations can be made online through our customer portal (Gingr), via text or via phone call.
First Missed Appointment: $25 fee that will be charged to the credit card on my account.
Second Missed Appointment: 50% of estimated grooming charge plus $25 fee will be charged directly to the credit card on my account.
Third Missed Appointment: 100% of estimated grooming charge plus $25 fee will be charged directly to the credit card on my account.
After third violation, all additional appointments going forward will require non-refundable prepayment of all estimated services. If credit card on file is declined, an invoice will be sent via email or mail and is due immediately upon receipt.
Emergencies:
In the event of an emergency, I authorize Port Rover representatives to immediately seek professional veterinary care for my pet. I understand that every effort will be made to contact me in case of an emergency.
Client/ Pet Information:
I understand it is the pet owner’s responsibility to maintain customer information and pet information through our online Customer Portal (Gingr) including but not limited to phone numbers, address, emails, emergency contacts, person(s) authorized to pick up pet, medical information, vaccination records etc. I understand that I must maintain a current credit card on file at all times.
Pet Pick-Up:
Upon completion of your pet(s) grooming, you will receive an automated text through our online software (Gingr). We ask that you please text or call us directly at 757-657-8060 x3 if you are not able to pick up your pet within the hour. A $12.00 per pet fee will apply for After/Before Care Services. if pet is not picked up within one hour of notification of completion (or is dropped off more than 1 hour prior to appointment time).
Right to Refusal:
Port Rover groomers, bathers, owners, and associates reserve the right to refuse to provide services to any pet or owner for any reason including but not limited to health/age or condition of pet, pets’ aggression or poor behaviors, lack of vaccinations or pet owner’s unrealistic requests or disruptive/rude behaviors.
By registering my pet(s), I acknowledge all the statements above and understand and agree to release Port Rover, LLC, and all groomers, owners, and affiliates with Port Rover, LLC from all liabilities or unintentional injury to my pet while under their care or afterward and all expenses and costs (including veterinary and legal fees) resulting from any services provided. This waiver applies to all pets that are registered with Port Rover, LLC under my name or my affiliates including but not limited to spouse, family members and friends.
