BOARDING MEET AND GREET/ EVALUATION ($25 FEE APPLIES)
A Meet and Greet (or Temperament Evaluation) for overnight boarding dogs is a process we undertake to ensure the safety and well-being of all dogs in our care. It involves assessing a dog's behavior, social skills, and overall temperament to determine their suitability for our boarding facility. During the evaluation, our trained staff will spend time with your dog, observing their reactions to various stimuli and interactions. We will assess factors such as their response to other dogs, their comfort level in different environments, and their ability to follow basic commands. The evaluation is conducted in a controlled and supervised setting to ensure the safety of all dogs involved. Our goal is to identify any potential behavioral issues or triggers that may require special attention or accommodations during their stay. By conducting a temperament evaluation, we can better understand your dog's needs and preferences. This allows us to provide a tailored boarding experience that aligns with their individual temperament and ensures a positive and stress-free environment for all dogs in our care. Please note that the evaluation is not meant to judge or label your dog, but rather to ensure that we can provide the best possible care and accommodations based on their unique temperament.

SPAY AND NEUTER POLICY
We recognize the importance of spaying/neutering and while we encourage owners to alter their pets, we realize there are instances where spay/neuter surgery is not a viable option or the owner chooses not to. Females in heat are not permitted under any circumstances. This is strictly for the safety of all guests. Spay and Neuter is NOT required for overnight boarding.
UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIORS
If at any time your dog displays or develops unacceptable behavior such as, but not limited to; extreme kennel aggression, resource guarding, destructive behavior or aggression towards our staff, he/she may be immediately dismissed from Boarding. We will keep parents informed of all incidents big or small. Port Rover also reserves the rights to dismiss any dog based on ill behavior from the owner/parents. We do not allow bullying, harassment, intimidation, violence or abuse from our clients.

We do our best to provide updates, send pictures via text, post pictures on social media and provide feedback concerning your pet as often as we can. We ask that customers keep in mind that we care for many, many dogs throughout the day and we may not be able to provide updates for everyone but this does not mean your dog is not be cared for properly.
